Default Brake pad problem...looks like the inner pad is dead and the outer is about 70%. How can this be? No

braking problems whatsoever. No shutter, no vibration, brakes are strong, I regularily use them at up to 130MPH.

The reason I looked at them is that when coming to a stop the last few times, it felt like metal on metal (done that before). Funny thing is that the warning light never came on.

I only looked at the left side and did so with a mirror and flashlight with out removing the wheel.

Anybody else have similar problem? With what result?

Default I believe the wear sensor is in the outer pad, that is why you didn't get a warning. Odd to wear so

unevenly. Sorry, can't give any pointers as to why... Might try the Tyrol Sport bushings, though, to free up the guide motions.

Default Uneven pad wear like that is usually

an indication your caliper is binding on the guide pins. Take off / apart and make sure ever thing is sliding as it should.

Default 2nd that

If the guide pins are too far gone (seized) you'll need a new caliper carrier. BTDT many times, just the other day on a neighbor's Mazda 626. Be prepared, the carrier is probably $$$.

ALWAYS lube the guide pins when replacing pads.

Default If they are $$$, then by all means try the TyrolSport guides...

If it was due to "shot" guides, it will just happen again on the new pads...
