Default brake time...

so i need to replace my brakes, the rear rotors just showed up and now i have to pick pads. on the rear at this time i have 100% stock pads, rotors. they have done ok but w/ my stop tech's i feel i over heat the rear breaks too soon. i have the axxis metal master pads on the front. i am not really impressed with them. they seem to heat up slow and not be very good in morning traffic till they get plenty hot. these seem to be a good track pad but not really what i want in normal traffic. i never did use the axxis ultimate pads that stop tech seems to be in love with. what do some of you around here that use the axxis ultimate pads think of them?

Default they were really dusty

street use - mintex redbox out back, porterfield r4-s up front; dust is not too bad.

track use - portfield r4 out back, colbalt friction vr up front.

(stoptechs up front, stock out back except ecs slotted rotors)

Default Ecs

Ecs slotted only took about 6 weeks on a waiting list!.. But they have them back in stock from what I know..... And the price went down!

Default ho well did they work?.....

The dust I don't mind as much as how well they work when the breaks are cold and when they got hot.

Thanks

Default I have the Axxiss Ultimates on my Stop-tech's and they work well...

You'll like them. They are quite 'dusty', but they work. My ST's are squeekers though and for that reason alone I kept thinking that a new pad would help. After spending a day at ST HQ's, we ended up just putting the Axxiss pads back on. Nothing would stop the squeek.

Default porterfields are fine - no cold brake issues

the vr's on the track take a bit but even they are usable on the street if you don't mind more wear on the rotors and cold brake SQUEEL
