Foolish

I recently bought this 01 TT and once it got hot out I realized the A/C wasn't working. Troubleshot the best I knew how but couldn't figure out how to jump the pressure switch. Replaced the pressure switch which obviously didn't work or I wouldn't be posting this. In the process of working on it, I realized that the cooling fans weren't running so dug into that. Found out that the previous owner had a battery explode and that entire area is covered in acid. Went on to check the fan control module and it wasn't working properly, perhaps because acid... Anyway decided the best new idea is to replace that module but when I got home and parked, the fans were both running. Read a few posts about fans not turning off but checked a few minutes later and they turned off on their own. Started the car up again and no fans, until I turned it off again. If anyone happens to have any useful hints, it would be much appreciated. Thanks

Oh yeah, and all the fuses involved are fine, both in dash and battery top.

A/C is pressurized, haven't had compressor kick on yet. Fan control module is ordered.
