Cabin "Squeak"

Cabin "Squeak"
My '02 has what can best be described as a constant squeak in the cabin which seems to be eminating from behind the climate controls.
The noise is the same volume while driving and idling and with the climate control turned on or off.
Is there a small fan hiding behind the vent near the temperature display?
Any ideas?

somone posted awhile back about something similar...
their cause was the bracket for the passenger side air bag stuff. I think he said he removed the glovebox and was able to tweak them where they weren't rubbing and squeaking.

Of course, I only searched the TT forum and not the others!

yes, there is a small fan that runs all the time back there...>
directly behind the climate control cluster.
mine is doing the same thing. I have a warranty replacement on order with audi right now.
I think the said they would have to replace the whole climate control module.
