Camber and KMAC
I lowered my 2001 FWD with H&R sport spring and Koni sport sruts a while back without realizing my camber would be all messed up. So before I buy new tires I'm faced with the decision to have the car worked on by a local shop with the special camber tool or purchase some rather expensive KMAC kits for the front and back and try to do it myself. Anyone have pros/cons here?

You'll need the KMAC kit or adjustable control arms.
After lowering, the camber cannot be brought back within specifications without some type of adjustment such as a KMAC kit.
Depending on how mcuh your suspension setup lowered the car, you might be able to get by with half of a KMAC kit (for cheaper than an entire kit). I was able to with the Bilstein/Eibach combo. Maybe others will chime in here.

No need...>
Rear camber on the FWD is fixed. You can adjust with special shimming, but changing ride height does not change the camber set at the factory..
You can lower quite a bit and still have the front well within acceptable street specs..

Car tracks just fine. But I do have very noticible camber.
When I look at the wear on the tires (front and back) the inside half is wearing very thin (almost slick) while the outside looks 1/4 worn.
Could there be something else worn on the car that could be doing this? At first I thought the front was the strut mounts but I've replaced those. Could the rear shocks in any way shape or form be causing a larger camber? Are there bushings back there that might be worn after 80k miles?

So there is no excuse for rear tires to wear...
in such a pattern I have? Not even the lowering of the car?
I guess what I'm looking for is some advice on what to do or look at myself before I go spend $600 on a new set of tires.
I know I could always just pay someone else a bunch of money and hope that it all goes away but that's just not my style.
