Camber measurements.....>>>
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/13940/dscf0957.jpg"></center><p>With the new Eibachs installed, rear camber measures -2.5. While not excessive (like Brad's -3.5 before he slotted), I'd like to get it back closer to spec. I know some of you have done the Griffin mod. What does Terry do to the arms? Also, anyone done the Kmac mod and is there a US source for them? Thanks.

Mine came out measured at -2 perfect. 2K on tires with no excessive inner tread wear....
The extra cornering grip is nice. This is probably a stupid question, but I wonder what your camber is without the spacers; because I have the exact same rear suspension as you less the stock wheels.

Dunno.....but suspect.....>>
They contribute a bit by moving the lever arm out.
Transitions (L/R) are a little softer and suspect camber is a factor as well as reduced effectiveness of the rear bar due to reduced suspension movement (stiffer springs).....

Steve, I believe www.shox.com can provide the Kmacs...
...I just got my PSS9's this weekend and am debating whether to install them before purchasing either Kmac or Grffin. Believe the Kmac is under $300 from shox.com so it is a cheaper alternative than Griffin, but with the control arm failures that Audi has experienced I am leaning towards Griffin (even though my car doesn't fall in the suspect range for failures). Let me know what you go with, ease of install, and satisfaction.

Curt....do you know how....>>>
Griffin modifies the control arms? Despite all the discussion here last few months, no one has actually decribed his mods....I thought he was modifying existing arms, so your concern over arm failure may still be there. I'm not real concerned about that though....Heck, my car rarely even sees rain.
thanks for the Kmac lead too!

That aint a camber issue!
Joking aside though...I have real severe camber and I haven experinced ANY weird wear on my 255's no inner feathering or anything...I did on the fronts mind you..But I had Audi do an alignment on the fronts since then....Maybe the width of the tires has something to do with it...

your gonnna have a big problem LOL! What is your camber spec with the 18x10's and your current ride height? Otto reports -2 but he's got fixed Eibachs. How low did you go?

I haven't talked to Terry Griffin yet but am going to call him this...
...week. I thought they were "machined" based on a comment by "Colonel Bogey" in a string back on 6/5/01 (do a search in the title for "LOTR's" to find the string). That is why I was thinking of going with Terry's product. I agree that if all he does is modify the stock ones (and that might be the case because the same string mentioned the price was around $350 w/exchange) then I would go with the Kmac solution.
By the way I found the string (8/14/01 titled K-Mac Bushings) that mentioned the availability from shox.com for $269.

Saw Griffin Cotnrol arms today, they are modified originals. You have to send your to him.
Pressumably so he can modify them for the next person.
I would rather have a whole new set machined.
