Can the APR chip cause the brake lights to stay on?
I'm posting this for SparTTan who doesn't have access to his computer and just gave me a call...
Rich's brake lights were staying on (that happened before and was fixed a couple of months ago) so he took his car to the dealer, who changed the part but it didn't solve the problem. So he took it back, and the dealer said they'd look into the circuitry. But they asked if he put any aftermarket parts in it - and he has the APR chip. He said no, but is worried that they're going to find out he has a chip and blame the problem on it... Can anyone offer him some good advice?
(the dealer is Laurel in Westmont btw)
tia folks

do the lights stay on even when the car is off?
is it both brake lights? sounds like it is a wiring problem or a relay issue.
The ECU has nothing to do with the brake lights. That only controls engine management stuff.
