Can headlight lenses be replaced or mounting tabs repaired?
 

Curious if anyone has developed a process to replace the lenses on the MK1 TTs?
Lens on my 2005 project car are PERFECT, its the mounting tabs that are broken.
Alternatively is there a process for repairing broken mounting tabs, as all three on both lights are no bueno.
I will try to repair the tabs but was thinking that I could purchase two cloudy/scratched headlights with perfect mounting tabs and replace those lenses with my perfect ones.

Yep - the light lenses are replaceable. I think the joint material is butyl so the lens should separate from the casing with a careful application of a heat gun - do some research on it. Replacement lenses were available from Audi so the procedure is doable. I think you can still buy the replacement lenses from Europe but it's a loooooong wait for the supplier to source 'em last time I looked.

On the other hand, might be cheaper to buy new lights converted to LED projectors - I think I remember about $500 for a pair. Just checked - Sorry - they are for the Halogen models only:
