Default Can I use super glue for the foglight mod?

i'm going to do it tonight, and was looking at the writeups... and from what I see the mod is just making one of the prongs STAY DOWN and in contact (instead of allowing it to lift up like it wants to). Can't I just super glue it down? Why do I need a little piece of copper to solder in between the prong and the contact point?

Or am I looking at it totally wrong? haha. TIA!

This is what i'm looking at..

From McPhill's writeup here:<ul><li><a href="http://public.fotki.com/mcphill/audi_stuff/lighting_systems/foglight_switch_mod/">http://public.fotki.com/mcphill/audi_stuff/lighting_systems/foglight_switch_mod/</a></li></ul>

Default You need it not just to stay down, but to conduct electricity. Super glue would not conduct

itself. If might work, sort of, if you glue in metal contact, but I doubt it would last long.

Default No... You'll break the plastic rotating switch inside. Like Mike said>>>

It needs to conduct electricity too.

Default because you still need the switch to operate and to pull out a notch.

i soldered mine on, don't take any chances of that piece coming off and shorting out your Xenons. its not worth it.
