Can someone with an APR chip please help me?
I have an appt for service tommorow and I seem to have lost my instructions on how to change modes etc on the EMCS feature. I want to put it in stock mode (not for hiding the chip, more for keeping the Tech from wanting to see what she'll do)
Could someone post the directions on how to change modes and the sequence of which mode is which?
i.e.
1 blink = Stock
2 blink = Chipped
3 blink = race
etc
is that right?
Can someone post them or email them to me or fax....whatever I am easy =)
sconner@audiworld.com is my email

Simply make sure that your cruise control is on - hold down button until the CE light flashes
let it go when the CE flashes once for stock. Do same until flashes twice for chipped etc. Then switch cruise off - so it can't be changed by accident.

Basically, you are right...
Ignition on.
Push the cruise control SET button.
after 5 sec. the 'check engine' light blinks once per second. this will continue for 5 sec.
It just sez:
program one = 1 blink per second
program two = 2 blinks per second
program three = 3 blink per second
program four = 4 blink per second
It doesn't tell you which is which.

You need your configuration sheet to know for sure.
Here's the link to the docs....<ul><li><a href="http://www.goapr.com/support/emcs_instructions.html">EMCS Operating Instructions</a></li></ul>

here's the page.
ATTEMPTING TO SWITCH PROGRAMS WHILE DRIVING COULD BE DISTRACTING FOR THE DRIVER AND COULD RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT.
Swapping Program Modes:
Locate your EMCS configuration sheet that accompanied your ECU.
- Turn the ignition key to the ON position.
- Be sure that your EMCS module is in the UNLOCKED state (if equipped with the security feature). Unlock the module if required. Remember that you will not be able to unlock the module if the engine is running.
- Make sure the car is not in motion.
- Hold down the cruise control SET button to select the appropriate engine program. After five seconds, the check engine light will begin blinking once a second. This will continue for five seconds. Next the check engine light will begin blinking two times a seconds for five seconds. This pattern will continue for three blinks (depending on the number of programs that are configured) and will end with four blinks a second (which will appear as a sequence of continuous blinks.) The number of blinks per seconds corresponds with the program number on your configuration sheet:
Program 1 1 blink per second
Program 2 =2 blinks per second
Program 3 = 3 blinks per second*
Program 4=4 blinks per second*
* If so equipped.
Release the cruise control set button when the indicated blinks per seconds corresponds with the program that you wish to run. Ex.- To run the program in slot 2, hold down the cruise control SET button until the check engine light blinks twice per second and then release the SET button. You will now be running program number 2.
- NOTE: If your EMCS module is equipped with two programs, then you will never see 3 blinks or 4 blinks per second. The pattern will end with two blinks per second. Similarly, if your EMCS module is equipped with 3 programs, you will never see 4 blinks per second.
REMEMBER: If your EMCS module is equipped with special software for particular hardware and/or fuel DO NOT attempt to run those programs without the correct matching hardware and/or fuel. This could result in serious damage to your car.
