im talking about 3000-4000rpm launchs. Im not dumping the clutch, but to get some good snap off the line, im smelling clutch each time.

work on your launching>>>
my best results have been to launch around 2800rpm's and "slip" the clutch a little...it works better than the higher RPM's. If you smell clutch, then you are burning it...someone once told me that hard launches like that can take as much as 5k off the life expectancy of the clutch per launch...not so sure about that but it was incentive for me to be smoother...
i got 70k on my clutch and it is not showing signs of giving in...

dont get me wrong, im not doing that on every launch...
only if Im really trying to get the best acceleration time.
So the question was, can a 4k launch be done effectively without burning the clutch? and at least from past experience on AWD cars, the cluth takes the abuse and its quite hard to not burn it a bit. But im wondering if anyone else had techniques to launch this hard, but still keep the clutch from burning.

Done a few "higher RPM" launches without frying the clutch
My 60 foots were okay, around 1.9 seconds (I managed one 1.8) but I never had the clutch smell with the stock clutch. I was impressed with the TT clutch/launch since I had previously tried something similar with my A4 1.8 Quattro (at the track) and managed to spin that clutch to the point of soaking my interior with the smell of burnt clutch for weeks.
