Default Are Canadian-spec impact strips removable?

I'm contemplating simply importing a TT from the US. Number 1: prices are much more reasonable, and number 2, the lack of bumper impact strips really do it for me lol.

If I do decide to buy one locally though, my question is are the Canadian-spec impact bumper strips cleanly removeable or no?

Default they're stapled on and can be removed but ...

you will have to fill the holes.

Default CdnTT did that, and he didn't have much fun with it.

I think he recommends just buying US-spec ones.

Default Speaking of foreign bumpers. I want a euro rear bumper with the long license plate area...

I think I can have a custom frame made and fit my shorter US plate in it. Does anyone know if this has been done before?

Default Been done, you'll probably have to trim your US plate a little to fit>>

and forget the frame, no room. Stick it on with 3M double-sided tape.

Default i don't understand the tumors...

does Audi assume that Canadians drive like they are in bumper cars? it's the worst design ever.
