Local mechanic has tied to reset the Cel light only to, have it reappear within a few miles. I don't think he has an actual VAG, but probably some type of universal code reader. What he tells me is that he gets some type of error in the VSS speed range. Don't know if that is actually the correct nomenclature. Anyone have any ideas?

Find someone with VAG-COM or ProDiag. There's a site that lists people somewhere. ;^)

VAG is nice but the mechanic (or pep boys for that matter) should be able to give you a specific code. You can check online what the code means. Then someone here can likely help you.
