Default Car is good for another 60k :) Question though...>

Just got my car back from Boardwalk Audi in Plano, TX. Got the timing belt kit from ECS, and they installed it with one issue. Apparently the thermostat that ECS sends (Wahler?) did not fit - wrong size. Has anybody else with the ECS kit had the same issue? As a newbie I was a little hesitant to try the job by myself so I am just going on my service guy's word.

Default Installed mine, so far so good. No fitting issues.

They may have bailed because it is a PITA to install, as per Bentley's.

Default They charged me an extra hour... as it's non co-located... and a PITA.

They said it physically did not fit the opening - too small.

Default Ummmmm... >

I didn't shop around because I also had some CPO warranty work done and this is the dealer I purchased the TT from. They charged 7hrs @ $115/hr ie $845. But on the plus side, I got the front sway bar replaced, an alignment, some switches replaced, and an engine block temp sender (CEL) for free. Plus, I live 3 hours away from Plano and they gave me an 05 A4 for the week until it was fixed.

All that to say, I am sure there are better deals out there, but I went with my dealer.
