Car Jack

Handle goes to the outside of the car...
foot goes under the car and the body sits at an awkward angle out toward the side of the car. There are slots in the top of the jack. On the bottom edge of the side sills of the car is a strip of metal where the pieces are seamed. there are indentations front and rear that indicate the jacking points where this piece is reinforced. place the seam strip in the slot of the jack, screw out the jack with the handle until the foot is parallel with the floor (it will be under the car), then adjust til it's flat and solid, then jack 'er on up!
hope this helps.

be careful!
when jacking up the rear, if you go up to high, you will take weight off the other rear tire. If the front wheels aren't chocked on both front and back the car will shift from its own weight. One time it almost pinned me against my garage wall. I actually caught and stopped the car. Not that long ago, same thing happened even though I was being careful. The garage floor was too slick and the opposite rear tire slid. the jack buckled under the car and I had a big dent in my sill now.
my suggestion is get a low saddle floor jack and don't touch the stock one.
