Default car just bled all over driveway.....almost on fire.

driving down grand central. decided to flip the AC on to see if it still works....80 degrees here in nyc today.

5 minutes later, i pull into my parking garage....there's smoke spilling out of the hood...the heat gauge is on maximum.....i started to choke on smoke......rolled down the windows, parked it quickly...lifted the hood...and saw a geiser of smoke spewing out of the the engine bay.

then a **** load of pink/red fluid just oozed all over the driveway.......the car is fuct.

just called mike at tyrolsport...he thinks it might be the AC fans not working properly, making it overheat.....not sure what the damage is just yet, but i hope it's not serious.

i'm gonna TRY to put some water in the coolant tank on saturday and drive it 8 miles over to Tyrolsport....but i'm not sure whether it's gonna make it or not....

you guys have any suggestions? ANYTHING?

Default well, with the AC off....coolant tank filled...

i think 8 miles is reasonable.

i can't really get a flatbed truck into the location the car is at right now anyway....so i might as well drive the fukre over there...

but maybe you're right....we'll see.

Your symptoms could also be a loose or broken hose

Default Yep, sounds like a broken hose

engine will overheat and warp the head VERY quickly without coolant. Saw for myself just how quickly the temp gauge moves when you lose all of your coolant but was lucky enough to get it shutdown before it overheated.
