Car not starting...
I just took delivery of an '04 TT base model. I test drove it for a few minutes this morning and it was fine but in the evening I started playing around inside, checking out the options. I noticed that the air conditioning would not go past very low and when I tried to start the car it gave a clicking noise. I'm wondering if the battery is discharged or something since the car was sitting in a show room for a long time. But it drove fine this morning. Anybody have any experience with this?

battery.....it is 4yrs old at least and more than likely seen better days>>>
as far as why it started in the morning, who knows. Could be coincidence, or the dealer knew and quick charged it for you...
If you just picked it up, they should give you a new battery...

yup, dealers run a quick charger on cars routinely if they are sitting, in this case>>
the battery is 4 years old and toast. It's taking a surface charge (thus why it started earlier) but this surface charge doesn't last. Time for a new one -- hopefully they will hook you up, but if not, swing by Wal Mart and pick one up for $40 or so. Or if you're like most and feel the need to spend more money, go by Sears and buy the exact same battery with a Die Hard logo for double the price. Either way, problem solved.
