CEL Help please!
2001 225 QC unmodded.
CEL went on this morning. Solid CEL, not blinking. Has been on all day.
When i get on the gas, the spool is louder, and when i let off the gas at around 4k, i hear a loud fluttering. Sometimes I hear something go CLANK!
any help would be appreciated.

A possibility
Similar thing happened to me a while ago. I heard a fluttering sound every time I let off the gas. It got progressively louder every day. Turns out it was the combination valve. I never heard any loud clank or anything so maybe it's something different. But I just wanted to throw that out there...good luck!

Uhhhh....
not exactly sure. Has something to do with mixing oil and air...or something like that. Anyway, I thought it was the DV at first, too, but it wasn't. I felt a little power loss, too. Kinda seemed like it made sense that the DV went bad...I was surprised it wasn't that. Is your car still under warrranty? Take it to the dealer...they'll tell you what it is.

Actually I recently had the same problem but with my Volvo--->
'92 960, 90k miles. Cost me about $500 and they replaced all kinds of sensors and switches. All made sense to me. Thing is, it could be anything. Generally emission related according to the svc mgr. But Forum guesses are just guesses. Get it to the dealer before it blows up............. No ****!
