I keep getting this code. I've gone through the engine and changed a few hoses. I clear it and it comes back on. Sometimes less then 100 miles sometimes more, I've even gone about 600 miles before it came back on. Its come while driving and while sitting at an idle...

Cleaning a bad MAF doesn't help. Replace it.

Replace MAF.....I gimped mine along for 4 months, in retrospect it was not worth the trouble. New Bosch cost me $130 delivered & car runs amazing!

Is there any way to test the MAF to see if its bad? I'd hate to buy one and not really need it.

I'm running into same problem on my 2002 tt. Next Tuesday my mechanic is doing a smoke test. Hopefully this will find the leak.
Car is running good, fuel is good, on 62000k on it. So we shall see.
