Ceramic TT story, if anyone cares! (and help needed)
I've been taking a beginning ceramics class for the heck of it and for my final project I wanted to do the back of a TT Roadster attached to the Silhouette (sp?) of a TT Coupe. So, the Roadster piece would only be from the passenger compartment back and the passenger compartment would be a planter. Confused? Anyway, when I showed the instructor my plans he said it was a great idea and he liked it but (and there's always a but!) he said "why are you making an existing car rather than your own?" All I could say was that the TT Roadster is one of my favorite cars. So, he said "Well, I'd like to see some of you in it, so you should atleast personalize it and modify it. Pretend you are re-designing the car and make some improvements. There's no such thing as a perfect car." To that I said "well, it's pretty darn close!"
So, now I have this challenge! I can't think of any way to improve on the butt end of a TT Roadster (or any other part for that matter), and I need to start my project. I can do it normally, but I'd probably get a better grade if I personalize it. Does anyone have any suggestions of things they would like changed on the back of the TT; besides the spoiler? I can't come up with anything good, so any help would be appreciated. Pictures are promised when it's done! Thanks! :-)<p>Charles

..some suggestions though like you said it is near perfect.
Add the retractable spoiler!
Beef out the wheel arches if required
Slice the rear lights into two with a horizontal body gap.
PS. Some of the suggestions really really lack taste but it's food for thought

change the tail pipe.. did you see the original concept model? the tailpipe groove is covered slightly and the tailpipe curves downward

some suggestions . . .
get rid of the license plate area. Make that smooth across and add the TT logo right into the plastic where the plate would go.
A slotted lower valance. it should be there anyway.
Don't put the antenae on the trunk.
don't put on the 3rd brake light.
flare out the fenders just slightly to make it a little more aggressive.
slightly wider wheels.
is that enough?

An idea... Replace the "TT" logo with "TT300" :-)

Thanks for all the ideas! :-) Not sure which ones I'll do, but...
...my main focus will probably be on the wheel arches, the wing (now's my chance to come up with something better!), the tail lights, and the lower valence panel. I just hope I don't make it ugly! :-(<p>Charles

My suggestions....
-Wider flares
-4 tail pipes
-make the bumper a big wider so that the car looks a bit lower.
-Reconfigure the colors on the rear lights, red, white, orange.
-put a "TTs" badge on it :-)
-hydro spoiler like the ones on the 996turbo<p>JasonC
