"tranny is next on my list" - you meant diff, right?
 
I used OEM Audi/VW fluid. It says it takes a liter, but mine took a tad over (1.2?).

diff... you're correct... any reason why you choose oem over redline or amsoil? so you bought two
 
bottle then?

I bought one, and had to make a run to the VW dealer to get a second.

Ok so is it GL-4 or GL-5 ?
 
When I changed the rear diff it was same part # as above, but I didn't see Gl-5 on bottle. I may go with Amsoil, so use GL5 SVG http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/svg.aspx
or GL-4 http://www.amsoil.com/StoreFront/mtg.aspx

This is for a DSG equiped car, so fluid is seperate from tranny.
