Safety at 170 mph isnt so much a matter of "taste" as common sense. Making value statements on
the other hand, without knowing all the facts is the only "bad taste" in this post.
Care to show me your idea of taste, elegance and finesse in spoilers thats EFFECTIVE at nigh on 200mph?
Thought so.

The pervious wing on this car was reasonably good up to 145-150 mph but more speed
caused it to sometimes get very squirrely and rear-end light. Sometimes it would happen, sometimes not. A delimma I still dont fully comprehend but attribute to highway topography ie; the small, imperceptable undulations in a roads surface that at 75-90 mph are spaced so far apart as to be hardly noticeable. But at 150-170mph are spaced so close together that the net effect is a "washboard" surface.
What this spoiler did/does is allow me the confidence to take it beyond the 150's and into the 170's where I bounced off the rev limiter at 7500rpm. Next week I'll have a fresh set Bridgestone OS-2 Pole Position 255/40/18 tires and after they're broke-in I'll go for 180+mph. I can live with speedo error. But I'll mark (mathematically extrapolated) common speeds in 5/10mph increments on the tach bezel.
I LOVE these guys who see the picture of this car and PRESUME someone put that spoiler on there for looks or to impress or to try to be something he's not. Sure serves to show that the masses still think you buy a spoiler for looks with blatant disregard for function.
