Default Clunking in rear suspension?

My 03, 225 has a clunking sound in the right rear when I turn left hard. The dealer says the "heat shields" may be rubbing.

1. What is a "heat shield"?
2. Any ideas on what may be causing this?

I am taking the car back to the dealer this week, and would appreciate your comments.

Default Heat shield is an aluminum blanket around the exhaust. Look under the car and bend it away from

exhaust if its too close. I just don't think that that is the problem. I'd look at sway bar links.
