Default Coil pack update, Dealer replaced the coil pack......

before I gave approval. charging me $339.00 for oil change and replacing one coil pack. Not covered under warranty because of the component failure code they have to put into the computer. I said I quess you are telling me that someone damaged the coil pack, he said yes, either me or someone who worked on the car. Yes I am getting the coil pack back, since I paid for it. I AM SO PISSED !! And I still have one original in my car yet to fail.

I'd be hot too. I think you need to elevate your complaint. Service Manager?

Are you saying these things don't usually crack when they fail?

Default Dunno....>>

I thought they were failing electrically. No ones ever reported a cracked one here that I recall. I may be wrong though. A ham fisted install could certainly crack one though...

Default If they replaced it before you gave approval, then they can't charge you...

it's the law. you don't have to pay for unauthorized work.
