Default Colorado folks, here's a fun drive: Boulder Canyon

While going down Boulder Canyon from Nederville to Boulder is eminently fun, try driving up it, preferably late at night with no traffic.

It is a major kick, the turbo is strong enough that I made the entire trip in 6th without bogging the engine, and you can easily take all the 30 and 35 MPH curves at 55-60 without any problem. It was like riding a freaking roller coaster.

OtoH, the rear end gets a bit squirrely coming down at those speeds, so do slow down when coming home. ;-)

Default Or 93 north outta Golden up thru Coal Creek Canyon to Nederwhatever

Then down to Boulder for dinner at the Mall...

Never done it backwise, though. Sounds interesting.

Ever eaten at the Copperdale Inn? I heard they changed owners.

Default Hehe I went to CU! Lots of awesome drives around there....

I had an 86 Coupe GT I destroyed 2 suspensions on! I loved the road up and over flagstaff... There is a wicked dirt road that leads down to a reservoir back there. I used to absolutely drive like an Idiot on that road! 4 wheel drifts...etc. The Audi dealer couldn't understand how someone could damage a suspension so severly around there I liked to take left-hand canyon up and then the back way to nederland... Also lots of nice driving around Estes Park. I used to try and find new ways to get from boulder to estes and also blackhawk without a map... I spent way to much time driving up there... No wonder I did so bad in College
