Default Coming at you from Windows Vista Ultimate Edition>>>>

First 5 hours of use verdict is: it's too cold out (24F) to play in the garage even with a space heater...answer is GO GEEK!!

-it installed faster than any OS i've ever installed - less than 40 minutes.
-it runs great on a 1.7ghz pentium M IBM laptop w/ 512mb memory.
-speedy and resembles a look and feel of windows, but also adds the feel of the Mac os Tiger inside of windows and the type of unix-like security it has (dosn't ask for a password everytime, just permission)
-IBM had updated drivers for it NICE
-tomorrow it goes on mr. speedy the loud desktop.

I'll be complaining about all the problems in a week.

Has it got that same dumb feature that only lets you do a few installs before calling MS?

Default Been using it for over 2 months. Needs at least 1GB of memory...>>

My 1.4 MHz IBM Thinkpad works fine with 512MB but video is unacceptable.

Great upgrade from XP if you have the hardware.

Default -14f here this morning and that still wouldn't get me to load that OS.

I always wait until the first service pack or major update comes out first. I've ran both the release candidates both for work and at home and realized it wasn't worth the bother or the added power needed to run it. But MarketingSoft did make it pretty for people.

Default Agreed... testing it on our older 2Ghz HP's at work w/1GB

... and it seems slower than XP right now. Not sure why other than the CRAP Intel integrated graphics. May throw another 512mb in to see if it helps.
