Concert Headunit Question...Basslink Issue
I posted this on the Audio forum too, but since my problem is on a TT, maybe someone here can help.
I just completed my Infinity Basslink install to my Bose Concert headunit. I am not getting any audio from the sub. No servo light either. I connected to the four speaker level leads on the headunit...these were supposed to be unused front left/right.
I tried connecting a boombox speak to these leads coming off the headunit and all I get is a low hiss. No sound.
What am I doing wrong? Do these leads on the headunit work? Is there a setting somewhere I need to change to get audio out of them? Since this is a Bose system, is there somewhere else I can tap into for the speaker-level input for the sub?
Help?

Not sure, but I think the Bose setting ...
deactivates the low-level outputs from the deck. You should try hooking up a 4 or 8-Ohm speaker to one pair to make sure.
If they're deactivated, you should tap into the signal path (high-level outs) near the Bose amplifier. You'll need to remove the rear panel where the 1st aid kit is located to access the Bose amplifier. Alternatively, splice into the signal behind the Concert unit.

You put one of these in didn't you?
I thought I came across some older posts of yours about installing a basslink? Did you have a Bose unit? How did you hookup? I'm not getting anything out of the speak out's from the HU but I guess I could tap into the line out for the Bose amp and use RCA connectors on the basslink. Any issue with driving two devices with the single line out?

No, I did a little more custom work, but I did use the Concert
as my HU for a time before switching to an Alpine. I'm working on v.3 of my stereo now, as matter of fact.
Anyhow, there are no issues with splitting signal voltage--you could run many, many devices and there would be no voltage loss. Ensure that you ground everything properly, and you should be fine.

Thanks, maybe I'll give up on these high outs and start looking for the line outs near the amp
I found some posts on how to splice an RCA cable in to the audi 3-wire line outs so maybe I'll give that a try. I'll need to find a different method for the remote lead back to the basslink though.
