Continued rant....the Haldex saga.....
<rant>
for those that care to remember, I caught my dealer lying about doing the haldex oil/filter change at the 20k service. (They hadn't changed a single filter or any oil on any TTs, but had never told anyone.)
Well, they finally got the haldex tool in stock and I took the car in for the service. I pick it up yesterday afternoon. I notice on my invoice that they don't have the filter included. My service rep tells me that he noticed on the service documentation that for the 2000's, it is only an oil change, but for the 2001's it has both oil AND filter change. Even though the tech had removed the filter, he told him to put it back on and don't change it!!!! (He even said they had quite a discussion and he looked it up in whatever additional Audi documentation they have to confirm that it shouldn't be changed.)
He told me that the next time I'm in, he'll change it for no labor charge, and only the $15 filter cost. Of course, you lose oil when you dump the filter, and there is no measuring it as it takes a predetermined amount that comes in the "oil bottle." So therefore, they'd have to put all new oil in!
I asked him why he didn't just call me...especially given the situation....and he said he didn't think to do that. His response: "I have a hard time upselling tire rotation so I didn't think to call you."
First, why would Audi not change the filters on the 2000's?!?!?!?!
Second....sigh....now I have to start driving 70 miles each way for service.

Your dealer is f'd up. Check out my notes on this...
The Haldex oil filter is integrated into the plug.
It comes with the new kit, and the whole plug is replaced.
They hosed your change-job once again.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/tt/msgs/344108.phtml">Haldex Oil Change</a></li></ul>

I agree 100%, but what am I going to do?.....
Even the audi docs say that it's only the oil. Please don't ask me to hold them to common sense. I'm going to call the service manager and tell them this is another reason why I'm leaving. Just pisses me off.
