Default Correct Temp Readout?

I know you may tell me to RTFM... Mine didn't come with a manual. It's on the way...

My temp gauge reads about 3/4... This seems high when it's in the 30's outside (i.e., last night). I'm also taking it real easy on the engine so it can break in.

Is 3/4 normal?

Does not sound normal to me. Mine and others is always at 1/2

Default Once the car is warmed up, mine sits exactly at the mid-point marker...

Based on what I've read here, though, I think these guages are notoriously unreliable and quirky. I'd be surprised if our two engines read very far apart in actual temperature while running.

Default Related - Oil temp

Do you guys just go by time to tell when your car is warmed up and ready to play? I'm used to an oil temp. guage and find it disconcerting to not have one. I've only put about 400 miles on the car, so I'm still getting used to everything.

Mine hovers over the mid-point hash...

Not in my experience... like others, hovers at midpoint.

Default always at half way point

The only time mine (225 TTR) is ever above a half is in the summer if it has been idling for quite a while, and when the fan kicks in, the gauge goes back to mid point. You could try the climate control buttons (check thread a couple days ago) to read out actual water temp.

Default Mine fluctuates a little over halfway when idling for a while (m)

Once my car warms up, it sits right at the halfway mark.

No matter what driving conditions i've experienced, it stays at halfway.

When I park the car and let it run for 1-2 mins to cool down, the needle tends to move slightly (one notch) above the halfway point. I take this as a sign that some of the heat from the turbos is getting into the cooling system, a good thing, I guess.

No. Should stay at the midpoint. Mine never varies, even on the hottest days.
