Default Crimped Top

I have a 2002 Silver TTR. Has anyone had any experience with the top pinching when folded? Even with the top up for days/weeks you can still see the marks on both sides. This happens on each edge at the mid-point of the doors. I wonder if there will be any long term damage. Top is always dry when lowered. Only 1,000 miles since purchased new.

Default clean and condition it.

do a search, and you'll come up with the recommended products to take care of the top...

also, if you wait for it to dry completely before you take the top down, you'll be a lot less likely to see such marks.

Default status quo...

I have the green top. Just cleaned and conditioned which helped. Not able to completely remove a few marks, but they are less noticeable. It's dry when I put it down so guess its just dust permeating the material. BTW the RaggTopp worked nicely.

Default Same here.

I also only put the top down dry. Maybe I just
use it too often? FWIW, I use the Porsche
top cleaner/protectant once every few months.

Default Re: Crimped Top

On my 14-month old '01 with 7K miles, have no marks on top. Have put nothing on the top -- its up all the time except occassionally down for a day. Suspect the less you put on the material the better off you are.
