Dammit! My brake lights are sticking on again!
I had this problem a few months ago, and took it into the dealer to have it fixed. Well of course they "could not replicate" the problem, and refused to do anything. (Another episode at Continental in Naperville.)
I was driving around in front of some friends this weekend, and when we got to where we were going they told me, "You are either riding your brakes or your brake lights are stuck on." Hmmm, I wonder how long this has been happening? Considering I was in Detroit and drove in from Chicago, and my cruise control seemed to be sporadically inoperative on the highway, I have a feeling it was happening the whole way there.
I just made an appointment at Laurel Audi in Westmont ("Do you want to bring it in first thing tomorrow morning?" he asked. What service! I never got in that quick at Continental!) and I am fully confident that they will replace whatever needs to be replaced without any hassle.
Anyone ELSE had a problem with brake lights sticking??

I have the same problem
Cruise control is also gone and yes my brake lights are on all the time. Even when the key is out of the ignition. I just pulled the fuse until i have time to get it into the dealership. keep us posted as to what you find.

Dave, there is a switch behind the brake pedal...
If your lights are still on when you get out of the car, crouch down and look for the switch behind the pedal; it might be stuck. You can push the end of the key or a screwdriver in this switch and it should pop back out.
I've had to do this before; it's easier than pulling a fuse IMO.
I will let you know what the dealer tells me. I think they will want to replace the switch.
