Black Hills Regional Park Run and Lunch
Sunday, April 22nd, 10:30 AM
We'll be meeting at our Rockville Location in front of La Madeline
and taking little run for some sightseeing leading to a nice little
lunch in Black Hills Regional Park. For those of you who have never
been to Black Hills, you're really missing out on one of the counties
little secret hidden retreats. This park consists of a recreational
park surrounded by deeply wooded forest (perfect for hiking) with a
beautiful lake. Although this drive is not as technical as the
Sugarloaf Mtn Drive, it will allow you to get those wheels onto good
clean road with a minimum of traffic.
As with our last run, lunch will be served at the end of the run at
Black Hills Regional and will be provided by Cooking & Co Catering -
I believe the menu is, two different types of sandwiches, chips,
drinks, and potato salad. $6. Prior notice is helpful if you'd like
lunch, but not required.
START>>> La Madeline parking lot is located on Montrose Road and Rt.
355 (Rockville Pike) in Rockville.
From DC/VA/All Points South -> Take 495N to I-270 in Md. Get off at
the Montrose Road Exit EAST. Follow Montrose Road 2 miles until you
hit Rockville Pike. The lot is on the corner of Rockville Pike and
Montrose Road to the right.
NOTE: If you're interested in keeping up with radio communications
during these drives, several drivers have invested a little change in
FRS (Family Radio Service) frequency Radios. All different
manufacturers sell these little walkie-talkies from Motorola to GPX,
they have a 2-mile range and can be switched to work on the same
frequency and CAN be used as regular radios at home!. Write me for
more information
