Default did you have bose?

units with bose are not presented with the fade option. You can enable/disable this, check the auditt.org site.<ul><li><a href="http://www.auditt.org/faq/959734693">http://www.auditt.org/faq/959734693</a</li></ul>

The TT sound system is not equipped to fade. However your new control deck is coded for use in an A4 which does. I think you also get a little more bass adjustment with this incorrect coding. teh coding is easy to change with the vag-com.
