Dealer Wrecked My TT- Any Advice?
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/48404/26hollo-r1-016-6a.jpg"></center><p>
I dropped my 02 TT off for it's 20k tune-up on Monday. They found a problem with the gauge cluster, so they kept it another day to fix that.
This morning I got a call from the Service manager, and he informed me that it was in a wreck when they were 'test driving' it. Turns out that the mechanic took a turn too sharp, and hit a curb/ small embankment on the passenger side. The front grill is pulled off on that side, and most of the plastic is cracked on the front an rear panels under the car. The biggie is that both wheels took some impact, and the front is now at a 45 degree angle, the rear is slightly kilted. The impact was hard enough to set off the passenger airbags.
I wrecked a Honda several years ago in a similar manner, and even after extensive frame work it was never right again. It always drove poor, and I had to get it aligned every few months.
I've talked to my attorney, as well as the GM for the dealership. The GM suggested that we wait until next week and see what the body shop says about the frame. I explained my concern about it never being right again - but he felt that the frame (uni-body) may not even be damaged. Looking at the condition of the wheels, and knowing it hit hard enough to break all the plastic and set the airbags off, I as a non-mechanic, find that hard to believe.
Anyway, attached are a few photos.
If anyone has any thoughts on what I should be careful to look for with this type of accident, frame damage, etc, please let me know.
Any suggestions on how to proceed with the dealership are also appreciated - I really don't want to get stuck with a lemon that is less than a year old because of their mechanic. I would also assume even if it is fixed this must lower the value of the car?
I think I'm still in shock, so any input at this point is appreciated.

Re: Dealer Wrecked My TT- Any Advice?
This happend to my last car. Your best bet it to tow the car away from them and to another place to get an estimate and or a place to get it fixed. They will cut every corner to put it back together with as little loss to them.

Just get some front K-Macs to fix the camber
And you don't even need coilovers :-)
No No, sorry-- bad joke. Really sorry to hear about that. I think the dealer should buy you a new car, and they keep that one. Sorry about that, it must be a real pain.

Even it they could fix it perfectly, they'd owe you significant damages...
due to dimished value. The simple fact that the car will have had major damage repaired reduces it's resale value.
