Dent Wizard Problem
 

Guys-
Just had dent wizard at IRA Porsche Audi in Danvers, MA take a look at a dent I have and the word is "Can't get to it without removing the interior" or some line. Well, that's what I thought they did. So, I'm wondering, what do you guys think? I'm willing to rip out whatever I have to to get this fixed w/o having to paint. How hard is it to remove that panel behind the passenger? And, better, is there some cross-member or something that is going to keep them from being able to get at it?

I get the feeling the guy barely looked at the thing. There is no paint damage, so I really don't want to get the thing painted.

my buddy had the samething done on his BMW, they had to remove the door panel to push the dent out from the inside. i don't think it is anything unusual or for you to worry about. his car came out great.

Not all dent wizards alike...
 

Find out what collision shop does the body kit installation for your dealer and try them. They may have a better dent wizard.

They have their own body shop. Also, it's a "Dent Wizard" shop, not some other paintless dent removal.

I went to two different "Dent Wizards"- one didn't want to touch it , the other did a great job!

I've been there, you should try the local techs of DentWizard
 

The one on Rt-114 few blocks away from the dealership next to NTB.

I was told by them that the ones who fix cars at dealerships "mobile techs" do not have the same expertise as their own Dentwizard shops.

I had two smaller dents in almost the same exact spot on my Roadster, in fact they were almost on the crease. Took it to the dealer for paintless dent removal, and they wondered whether they could do it - becasue of access problems. But they checked with the head guy at the particular franchise that does the work for them (at Classic Audi in Eastchester NY), and the bottom line is, I really can't tell from looking where the dents were. They did a great job.

So I called the dealer again and talked ot Dent Wizard. It seems because of where the dent is, that they might not be able to get it to 100%. The guy from dent wizard is supposedly one of thier best techs. Anyway, I'm going to pull off the panels and see if the thing can get at from behind.

Any tips on removing the panels near the right rear speaker?

Yep, you'd have to obviously remove the trim panel there, and possibly the rear speaker, which would allow you partial access to that area. You'd need a pretty flexible dent wizard guy to get around the front seat, or to work from the rear of the car.

The pic I'm going to try to enclose is of John P's amp installation, which is similar to mine. Where the amps are, you can reach up quite a ways, hopefully long enough to work on that dent from the inside. Depends on the tools they have. Maybe you can show them this pic and see what they say. I'm going to give it a go and see what I can see. Also, had dealer quote to fix the dent through normal means... $1k, just like I thought. Any car fix that requires paint and bodywork is 1k.
