Default Did the DV deed (ho-hum)

I replaced my original non-letter suffixed DV with a Forge stealth black after noticing a distinctive coke bottle thunk when shifting gears. Guess what? Same noise(normal valve operation?) with either valve & no difference in performance, surging, etc.

I never thought that the Bosch valve was bad but was "talked into it" thinking that mine can't be the only one that hasn't failed. I guess that probably many here have also hopped on this bandwagon.

The diaphram seems tight and intact on the original but the spring tension is definitely stronger on the Forge FWIW. Forge from Stratmosphere comes with el cheapo universal clamps (not par with the excellent Forge quality valve.) I removed the Audi non-reusable clamps with a pair of nail nippers - one clip and they're history.

Billsteins next (my next bandwagon?)

Default You should not be getting "a distinctive coke bottle thunk when shifting gears" with the Forge DV...

The surging you describe also is not 'normal'. Either the Forge is defective, incorrectly installed, or there is something else totally wrong with your car. I would see the dealer if I were you.

Default It is possible that the N75 valve is bad. it can cause all sorts of problems . ..

a few people have had that valve go bad. If you show up at FW quite a few different people can hook up their VAG tool to check for error codes.

The N75 is the valve just before the DV.
