Default What did you use to clean the engine?

I have wanted to do this to mine but wasn't sure what the safest stuff to use would be. Are you happy with your results? Because the picture looks great!!

Default ... lost of stuff.....

well i removed all the covers and washed the motor with simple green, and just a slight bit of motor degreaser. i tried to not use a lot of the motor degreaser as i have found it really likes to dry out rubber parts. then i washed all that off and went to work by hand with an soft sponge and mild soap. after that i took compressed air and blew as much as possible of the remaining water and such from around the engine bay. on the covers i used mild soap and a sponge then reinstalled them. and after a hr or 2 of letting it all air dry i took the compress back out and made sure i got as much as i could of the water out of all the tight spots dried any thing with a towel and went to work with some rubber moisturizer. really didn't take very long at all .. i spent more time waiting for stuff to dry than any thing else.....
