Default Do you know what this part is?

I need help identifying what this is. It is located on top of the valve cover and has one lead connected to the coil harness. The lead broke off and I have soldered it back on but I would like to know what it is so I can replace it.

It's a noise suppression capacitor to prevent radio interference from the coil pack.

It's not critical and won't cause the car to break down. if you are confident of your soldering it's OK to leave it.

Probably a dealer only part but any aftermarket version would probably work. Looks like it's 4.7 micro Farad.

AudiMick, Thanks for the help. Will try the dealer today. Funny thing is that there is no noise being induced on my radio but my Parrot Bluetooth seems to be effected.

Well it needs a return ground and therefore does need to be bolted down, I assume you took the pic with the bolt out.
