does anyone know where i could find a book or some resources on our engines?
i want to know everything there is to know about it. i'm thinking about starting to really heavily modify the engine some more, but i would like to do some pretty good research before going into it. i don't just want to slap a big turbo on it and then blow. i'm thinking it would be nice to buy a block and then over time just build up the engine and then swap out. does anyone have any suggestions here on obtaining that kind of information, block stresses, bore sizes, heat ranges, etc. i know the bentley is a good repair manual but it doesn't really go into tolerances for the internals. crank, cams, etc. i don't mind reading at all! hopefull i will be able to gain a lot of information and share it back with the guys that i have learned so much from!! thanks!
(i'd also like to find out engine differences, ECU differences. like if i have an AMU car can i use a different block or will the ECU be looking for stuff another block doesn't have?) -mike. i remember steve posted something back about a book from bostch..is this correct?
