Nope. Unfortunately the next TT will be bigger.

I don't think that has been confirmed yet.

Default I really hope not. I've heard the same rumor....

...but I really hope they don't turn the TTR into a SC430. Damn you, Audi, don't send me back to BMW or Porsche.

Default not at all and personally I think it's sad for Audi

<rant>

Audi is supposed to be the luxury/performance brand for VAG. But all I see is a company cramming bigger engines and more weight onto already mediocre performing, grocery hauling platforms and expecting good interiors and quattro to make up the difference.

I say phooey. To hell with parts sharing to save a few dollars. The VW concept is what the TT should have been from the start. A sports car design built on a sports car chassis. Not a design study in compromises.

I know some articles on the VW concept mention the TT as a possible suitor for this chassis. If that happened I would be extremely excited. A mid-engine, balanced, light-weight chassis designed with great handling in mind is what the TT deserves. I don't really care about RWD. Though a primarily RWD quattro setup would be awesome.

Default Unfortunately the TT would not exist at all if not for platform sharing

As Audi's sales have increased and along with that profits there is more possibility of a one-off chassis for a sports car. It's always going to end up being a price trade off tho. If you want to have a high quality interior and build quality then you are going to sacrifice performance. If you want both then the price is going to go up and people will complain about that too. I think for the money and for what you get the TT is an excellent value.

I do agree tho. Based on VAG's stated goals for their divisions I don't see why VW would have something like the Concept R in their lineup, if anything it should be a Seat.

Default The Z4's no bigger than the current TT (no dumbass backseat into which an infant can't fit)

Roadsters shouldn't have back seats (IMHO). If I wanted a backseat I'd consider the A4 cabrio, 3 series convertible, or something along those lines with a real backseat.
