Default Door lock strange behavior

Here is the scenerio.
1. Get in the car
2. Lock the door by pressing "key" button
3. Insert the key and start the engine
4. The "open door" button does not unlock the doors anymore

Anyone experienced this strange behavior?

Default Problems

Seen the doorlock problem. There is a relay ( ignition as I recall ) that has been giving trouble to TT and late model A4s alike. Your service dept should recognize this off the bat.

Also seen some problems with Zenons not igniting properly. Not sure of the cause yet.

Yes, It happened to me today in my one week old TTQ. Unlocked and opened the doors with the door handle then the problem went away. It did not reoccur (yet). Glad to hear that there is a known fix.

Default Fix

Your dealer can install a ground to Pin 2 of something to fix this issue. In the meantime you can minimize the problem by locking the doors only AFTER you have started the car.

I should add that the cars I've seen, have had non-funtioning alarms and the key reminder chimes even when you have removed the key.
