Default Driver Airbag and Seat Heater out after stereo work

Oops...
This is the second time I ripped out the stereo to add in my equalizer and a switch that routes my iPod through the CD changer input... And this time, I broke something!

My Driver's side seat heater no longer heats (no lights come on the dial), and the Airbag light is always on. i checked all the suspect fuses, and none of them are blown. The passenger seat heater still works.

Does anyone have *any* clue what I might have done, and where I should look to fix the seat heaters? Does any of the wiring for the seat heaters/airbag go behind the stereo console?

From searching the forums, it sounds like there's a connector under the seat that has both power for the seat warmer and the airbag - I guess that's where I'll look next - but I didn't really do anything down there. (I did remove the center console to install the EQ, though).

Thanks

What 'center console' did you remove?

Hi Jeff,
Great How-tos!

I removed the center console - meaning the part around the e-brake, cupholder, etc (it's where my EQ sits).

I checked under the seat today, it looks like the yellow/purple connector are plugged in fine (that is the airbag/seat warmer connector, right?) - I thought that might have been the culprit when my drill slipped under my seat. I also noticed two other connectors plugged into the seat that seemed fine.

To do the stereo work I pulled the stereo and did a lot of reaching behind around the AC unit to push and pull my cables through. I'm worried I dislodged something there - in fact, I remember feeling something that felt like it was a spade plug loose as I was feeling around there - but I have no idea why one would be back there.

Thanks for any ideas

Default right above the radio, sits the connectors for the switches. You pulled a connector loose there.

Yopu can get at this also if you remove the inst. cluster.
you can see it a lot easier

Default You are correct

You're absolutely right, I felt the loose connector up there. Unfortunately I have to dismantle the dast to get to it, I can't plug it back in by squeezing my hand in the radio compartment. Anyway, I'm glad it's nothing more serious, I'll just have a cold butt for a little while.

Thanks for the quick diagnosis!
