Driver Side Outside Mirror is loose and slipping on the drivers side ...

has anyone experienced the same thing. In essence, the mirror is not flush to the exterior mirror holder, plus it tends to shake (the mirror only, not the housing) when I'm driving. In contrast, the passenger side mirror is on correctly, and doesn't not shake or rattle when I'm driving.

Same problem. Push gently on center of mirror glass to tighten on mount.

Repair manual reads:- To install, insert mirror glass into guide stud and friction finger into friction spring, and press on.

Always use protective gloves, and only exert pressure at center of glass

It worked temporarily. Will have dealer look at it next time in.
