Default Was driving today and while accelerating...
the word "brake" flashed on my dash and a beep sounded. Anybody know why?

Default Low brake fluid...
it may need to just be topped off. I suggest bleeding the system. It could also mean or lead to greater problems such as a leaking slave cylider.

Default Thanks. But my dealer just serviced my brakes about 3k miles ago...
Should I take it back?

I had the same problem and my slave cylinder was leaking. It leaked into my clutch and killed it. The dealer replaced my clutch, flywheel, throw out bearing and slave cylinder all under warranty.

Default you said the dealer just serviced the brakes?
what for? did they do something silly like knock the wear-detection sensor plug from the front wheel?

It was for my 30k mi. service. They figured that since I was in, they would flush them out.
