Default I don't think any DVs sound much louder than any others

If you want to get a louder sound out of the DV run an open element filter, like the K&N in a TTDA but without the TTDA cover. A P-Flo would produce similar results.

get an open air filter if you don't have one. They make everything louder.

Default I love it. I don't care if it works - only if it sounds cool.

sigh

Default I can buy that, up to a point

I bought my exhaust based on how it sounded, I prefer the noise of the VTDA style setup than the quieter TTDA. I'm not looking to shave tenths of a second off my laptime for my favorite back roads twisties and I don't autocross. If the noises the car makes add to the overall driving experience (ie fun) then I can understand that.

Default OK, but maybe you want the pieces you add to work, too?

I mean if a crap exhaust sounded better than a known good performer, would you switch?

Default No, but for the most part alot of mods provide within a few % of the performance

intakes, exhausts, even chips all provide similar performance between different brands.
I wouldn't go out and throw a BOV on the car because it sounded cool since it would mess with the fueling and programming. But a more open intake instead of a closed one just so I could hear the turbo and more of the breathing sounds, well, that's what I've got installed right now.
