Electrical Problems
are there any tt owners out there that are having problems similar to -
1. dashboard resetting itself to the factory defaults (7-1-1998, clock to 12:00, and trip computer deleting all saved info)
2. Dome light will very intermentently not work while I am in the car, but when I open the door it will work correctly.
3. Power door locks will not lock or unlock the door sometimes until you manually open the door and try again.
My dealer cant seem to track down the problem, although they are really tring hard(my car has been there for over ten days total now) so any input would be a big help. They are little problems but they seem to get worse and worse as the car gets more miles on it.

Fix
1. You need a new instrument cluster.
2. Your dealer needs to ground Pin 2, I don't know which Pin 2. Have your dealer contact Audi for the exact fix.
3. This will go away when #2 is fixed.
Mine has been electro-glitch free for almost two months.

To fix the dome light and door locking problems read on...
Don't use the door lock button on the center console until AFTER you have started the car. If you lock the doors this way then start the car the dome lights won't work and the doors cannot be electronically unlocked. As Toby said, there is a fix, but this is how to avoid the situation until then.
