Engine overheating problem
I am used to a minor temprature increase (half a notch on the scale) but what I get here is a needle that goes pretty fast to 3/4 of the scale!
I never let it go beyond it because I'm afraid it will damage the engine so it might just as well heat up even more if I let the motor idle...
Is this normal?
Anyhow, the car stayed at the dealer for the weekend. I'll keep you posted.
I believe from memory it is this:
Press the Recirculation and up arrow at the same time.
use the temp (maybe fan)control to dial "51"
press the recirculation button again.
This is the coolant temp in degC.
If it stays constant and the cluster says otherwise, you've got a bad cluster or cluster wiring harness.
Press the recir and up arrow to cancle or turn off.
i'm on my third cluster and they still can't get it right.
