Engine Swap question - 2.2 20vt
What needs to be done to fit a 2.2 20vt into a 2000 tt quattro five speed? Yes I have searched but didn't find anything directly related.
I have a 92 urs4 5 speed quattro with 340k and about 320hp (its been mildly built and tuned) that had the front suspension and brackets damaged from hitting a washout. (I will be parting once insurance comes through so keep in touch if interested in anything)
My neighbor has a 2000 tt quattro five speed with blown engine that I can trade a few things I don't need for.
Is this do-able? Will the engine physically fit?
I am assuming full ecu rats nest and custom engine mounts/exhaust and potentially plumbing issues. Anything else I should be aware of?
My main interest is in a budget swap (I figured id have less than 2k into stuff besides the parts id have and purchasing the tt - am I on the right track for parts)
Is there a cheaper/easier diesel swap that would put out comparable power?
