I am toying with the idea of putting a rack (ski/bike) on my '02 coupe. I would like to get input from other TT owners who have racks or have information on racks. My main questions are:

1) What rack system do you have, and how do you like it? How much was it?

2) Where did you get the system?

3) Did you install it yourself?

4) How does it look? Part of me feels that putting a rack on a TT would be aesthetic blasphemy. Any pictures would be greatly appreciated. I love my TT, but I also love to ski and bike, and it's been a pain in the buTT having to throw my skis/bike in the back compartment (driving from Portland to Bend with my X-country skis sticking out between the two seats gets old fast). It would be great to have a nice rack so my TT could be a full-season, full-utility toy. But I don't want to ruin the very thing that makes it so distinctive -- it's look! Thanks in advance for any help.

someone has OEM racks (the ones that fit the mounts on your coupe) on sale for around $250 if I remember correctly. This is quite a deal, and I don't believe they are being manufactured anymore.

No prob - the roof racks are *usually* not so available.

Get the OEM Audi rack for the TT. I don't have one personally, but I have seen it on another customer's car at the dealer. It uses the mounting location designed for it in the Coupe' roof, and is aesthetically compatible with the TT design.
