Even more annoyed with Craftsman Autobody...
...in Falls Church.
I was able to look at my newly "repaired" car, and the list of what's wrong now reads:
(1) badges in wrong place. did they even vaguely consider looking at another a4, or taking a picture before they took them off? [pointed out at shop, they are ordering me new ones to put on]
(2) bumper extends 1/4" beyond quarter panel at wheelwells. [pointed out at shop, no remedy offered]
(3) bumper part below taillight is inset about 1/8"
(4) plastic under-bumper is scuffed, obviously not replaced from accident...though admittedly the adjuster ignored this too.
and the top **** me off thing: (5) the repainted areas are not only streaked horizontally, but there is a noticeable drip right in the field of the repaint area.
What are people's opinions on their obligation to me? Should I expect the car to have a few deviations, or should I have them go at it again? Could I get them to spring for a repaint at a shop with better QA?
I'm so incredibly pissed off.

You should refuse to accept the car until it is done right. I've never used the shop in Falls ...
Church but I have been very pleased with the shop out at Dulles. If their management doesn't seem responsive, I'd go back to the insurance company and tell them you're not pleased with the quality of the work. The shop shouldn't be paid until it's done correctly.

If not paid for already, withhold payment and get insurance adjuster in the loop...
assuming this was an insurance covered repair. Make them do it right, don't get p*ssed in front of them but make it clear all will be corrected or they will warrant you taking further action.

Paid already...
...since most of it wasn't too visible under the rain.
Yeah, I was already going under the "we're all friends here. can you do the small adjustments for me?" level of tact. =)
